My particular interest is in mixed linear models and statistical computing.
In collaboration with my principal colleagues Dr Robin Thompson and Dr Brian Cullis, we have developed ASReml, a specialist statistical package. It's principal application is in agricultural research, especially animal and plant breeding. ASReml is distributed internationally by VSN-International.ASReml would not exist without the statistical inspiration of Robin pictured here at his retirement dinner, 19 January, 2006.
